Description
The department was formed in 1990 to provide theoretical and applied researches in differential equations of mechanics of a continuous medium.
Main directions of research:
- development and application of the method of symmetries for equations of various complicated models of mechanics (supervisor Doctor of Science in Phys. and Math., Professor V. K. Andreev);
- problems of hydrodynamic stability of a motion of fluid media, including a mixture with interfaces (supervisor Doctor of Science in Phys. and Math., Professor V. K. Andreev);
- mathematical modeling of a convective motion with complex rheology (supervisor Doctor of Science in Phys. and Math., Professor V. K. Andreev);
- researches in infinite groups with various finiteness conditions (supervisor Doctor of Science in Phys. and Math., Professor V. P. Shunkov).
