Description
The department was formed in 1986 for scientific support of the rapid development of the engineering complex of Siberia. The department was formed on the initiative of Academician of RAS Yu. I. Shokin and Corresponding Member of RAS N. A. Makhutov.
Main directions of research:
- theory and methods for modeling of destructions, accidents, and risk-analysis of constructions of engineering systems;
- estimation of risk and modeling of disaster mechanics for multicomponent engineering systems;
- development of probability models for limit states, resources, and survivability of matherials and constructions of engineering systems for estimation of a man-caused risk.
